An exciting opportunity to see the world as part of Total’s Exploration and Production (E&P) team has arisen for a project or operation contract engineer with strong experience and expertise in the required discipline. Our E&P team is active in 42 countries across the globe and current opportunities offer attractive, permanent contracts in various international locations on a family or rotational basis.

- Master the complete spectrum of GIS Technologies (including geodesy, cartography, data modeling, spatial analysis and decision-support tools, complex architectures),
- Execute or contribute to expert or assistance GIS-missions (audit, consulting, support) at both the Headquarters and the affiliate. Total works on a global scale; opportunities for exchanges with different cultures and travels around the world are therefore numerous,
- Propose and develop performing and innovative GIS Tools for tomorrow’s challenges. (Data structuring tools, Web portals, mobile GIS-solutions). These innovative tools rely on optimal spatial data management for a good functioning,
- Enrich, develop, draft and promote guidelines and manuals for GIS,
- Provide training, communication and promotion of GIS in dedicated events or on a daily basis close to GIS users to explain and show the added value of GIS in the oil and gas industry,
- Serve as an interface between geosciences specialists and those of the IT department (Database administrators, security managers, server managers, architects and project managers),
- Manage GIS projects: Needs analysis, definition of specifications and requirements, monitoring the implementation of GIS solutions.



Required skills

Education
Will have an engineering degree or equivalent.
Knowledge in Geomatics Engineering.
Will have a high level of awareness of Health and Safety issues.
Will be fluent in both spoken and written English.
Experience
A significant experience, including in a major project as a Manager of GIS IM management and technical software support.
Skills
Strong communication skills (to present, to persuade and to agree).
Strong desire and willingness to learn.
Leadership, skills in process management.
Will be adept at collaborating and proactively sharing information and expertise with your colleagues.
Will be able to operate flexibly and sensitively in multi-cultural teams and local environments.
Will be able and keen to travel the World and work in a variety of countries.
