Accounts Receivable at Adexen

Adexen Recruitment Agency is looking for a Accounts Receivable Controller for an international marine offshore company.


Job description

The aim of the postion is to ensure an appropriate framework of controls in the ORACLE AR process, to evaluate Credit Risk of new Clients, to manage and organize Invoicing Team & processes.
Unfixed term contract to be filled immediately.
Position based in Lagos, Nigeria.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure an appropriate framework of controls in the ORACLE AR process. Manage the changes or creation of Client accounts and Invoicing Memo Lines.
  • Evaluate Credit Risk of new Clients and periodically re-assess credit worthiness of existing Clients. Liaise with Team concerning operational issues that prevent the payment of invoices.
  • Ensure prompt invoicing of transactions and submission of invoices to Clients. Follow up and resolve any Un-submitted invoices. Manage the period end Provisions to record any transactions not invoiced.   
  • Ensure remittances are promptly recorded and allocated in AR Oracle. Follow up and resolve any unallocated amounts.
  • Manage and organize Invoicing Team to prepare & submit to Clients the invoices and credit notes.
  • Lead the weekly Credit Management meeting to address outstanding issues on the Client Accounts.
  • Prepare the necessary reporting to Contract Managers, Local Management and Corporate, in particular monthly Corporate report. Explain major differences of current period and that of previous month and Budget. Present - Aged Debt Outstanding, KPIs and Action Plan to monthly Business Management Review meeting.

Qualifications et experience

  • Graduated in Accounting/Finance - Masters preferred.
  • Around 5 years experience in the accounting/ finance area.
  • Analytical and Interpretative skills.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to plan well and work under minimum supervision.
  • Knowledge of applicable accounting practices, standards and procedures.
  • Ability to work accurately and pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent Pack Office Windows Suite processing skills. ERP systems knowledge.
